DWP: Hike rates 5% due to 'environmental requirements'
The bloated waste at the DWP along with the political stranglehold it and it's workers union have around this state and city are well documented. Despite the tremendous increases in costs over the past 20, 10, 5 and 3 years, the next increase of 5% over the current base-line is attributed to "compliance" with environmental requirements. As "the public will be able to comment on the plan, which is expected to take effect in November," I say: NO!
